Following the tremendous support for our Do Good December initiative, we'll be collecting donations for the whole month of January in support of a local organization that does work keeping children safe and families together—The Children’s Village....
This month, three of our favorite humans are sharing their talents with your children through the Spark Your Imagination series—dance instructor Fabienne Beard-Wright, cooking instructor Kate Sonders Solomon, and Amanda Hsiao of The Observatory Shop in Hastings-on-Hudson.
This month, the HudCo community came together in a big way to help our neighbors during the holiday season. Each week we concentrated our efforts toward assisting a different organization, as there are more people in need this year more than ever.
On Spring Street between Maple and Warburton Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson, a world of beauty opened it’s doors amidst the depths of the pandemic this Spring. Wild Flower founder Nicole Tarpey brings the naturalist landscape design movement and a revival of the Dutch Masters-style floral to the Rivertowns.
This week we’ll be spreading holiday cheer to let our local senior citizens know we’re thinking of them during these particularly lonely and dangerous times. With your donations, we will put together 60 small seasonal arrangements and gift boxes that will accompany the meals to be delivered this week through the Dobbs Ferry Senior Citizen Program.
Our friends at First Village Coffee in Ossining know more than coffee—they are also amazing bakers! Luis and team have put together a box of their delicious homemade cookies. Pairs perfectly with a cold glass of milk (or eggnog?) sitting fireside.
The mix and matchable pieces by Birdie Lou encourage play and limitless creativity for your youngins, PLUS every collection is made locally in New York City in small batches. With years of experience in production and design, Laura was motivated to create clothes for her daughter (whom the line is named after) that she was unable to find anywhere in store.
Kids just grow up so fast. Clean out your closet and let us take your gently used, outgrown winter coats off your hands during HudCo’s coat drive all this week, December 14 through 18, 9a-6p.
Shop small this Saturday (and, like, all the time if you can) and come by HudCo to peruse for your loved ones’ holiday gifts. Picture Book shop owner Sara Davidson will be on site to recommend the best books for the pickiest readers on your list, plus we’ll have one-of-a-kind bags created by Chuck Routhier Studio.
For week two of the HudCo Do Good December, we're focused on bringing joy to Hastings families who are struggling to get by. You can help them be givers themselves this holiday season as we collect for the Family-to-Family Gift Card Drive all this...
