We always aim to host interesting, entertaining, and inspirational experiences here within the expansive walls of HudCo, so our Community and Events Manager Jennifer LaGrippo took us to another level producing this inventive Friday evening of art, music, and creative friends.
NY Vinyl & Brew brought their records and spun classics from all genres while three local artists grabbed brushes and put paint to canvas for an hour of magic with the crowds watching along.
Longtime HudCo member Darcy Briks has a background in art and graphic design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Darcy’s journey has led her to explore various mediums, from photography to acrylic painting and mixed media.
Nancy Mendez, a gifted visual artist based in Westchester, has been curating her artistic process since her childhood. Drawing inspiration from her rich Ecuadorian and Puerto Rican heritage as well as her love for music, nature, and mysticism, Nancy’s works are a current of passion that reflects her own life. Each of her creations invites you into a magical world.
Kalin Monet, a self-taught artist and designer, balances the role of a loving mom to a baby boy and devoted pet mom of two cats. After graduating from NYIT, Kalin discovered a newfound passion for painting that rekindled the creativity of her youth. Now, armed with a message to share and the confidence to do so, Kalin’s artistry shines through with each stroke of her brush.
And the lovely and engaging musician Kat Capone was our MC for the evening, keeping the energy high and the artistic juices flowing.
