Built to Lead: Rivertowns Women in Business

June 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$25.00
$15 members, $25 to public. Join us for an empowering event to swap secrets to success and leadership amongst fellow professional women.

The Rivertowns are home to some truly remarkable women—visionaries who built their businesses from the ground up with purpose, creativity, and determination. We’re proud to call them not just founders, but also friends and neighbors. They’ve established roots in our community while making a lasting impact far beyond it.

This panel offers a candid look at their journeys—the bold decisions, the big wins, and the valuable lessons learned along the way. You’ll hear how they lead with intention, collaborate to drive change, and define success on their own terms.

If you’re looking for real insight from experienced business leaders—and a chance to connect—this event is for you. We welcome aspiring entrepreneurs, peers, and local business supporters to join us for an evening of honest conversation. We’ll start with casual mingling, followed by the panel discussion and a Q&A session.

Doors Open: 6:30p
Panel Starts: 7:00p
Q+A: 7:45p
Wrap-up: 8:30p

Panelists

Bridget Gibbons, Director of Economic Development for Westchester County

Bridget Gibbons was first an entrepreneur— She founded her own digital marketing agency, giving her the experience needed to lead as Westchester’s Director of Economic Development. She’s a driving force behind the county’s mission to grow a dynamic, inclusive business community.

Bridget works closely with local businesses and nonprofits, supports regional development, and designs programs to help people level up their professional skills.

Under her leadership, the Office of Economic Development has launched major initiatives to support entrepreneurs across industries. That includes three startup accelerators: Westchester County Biosciences Accelerator (for life sciences), Element 46 Tech Accelerator (for tech entrepreneurs), and Launch1000 (an idea-stage program). Each one delivers top-tier education and mentorship, helping bold ideas turn into real businesses.

Heather Rhyu, Owner of Club Pilates & Rumble Boxing

In 2016, Heather Rhyu saw an opportunity in the suburbs—and she tapped into it. Using her business sense and intuition, she has since opened three successful Club Pilates studios in Ardsley, Scarsdale, and Quaker Ridge, and recently expanded into Rumble Boxing.

She had her start in San Francisco’s fast-paced finance world. After relocating to New York and the birth of her daughters, she craved flexibility and a deeper connection to her work. She made a pivot from Wall Street to wellness. Heather credits Pilates with helping her stay injury-free and grounded in all areas of fitness. Her studios reflect that philosophy: welcoming, well-designed spaces where movement, strength, and community come together.

Nicole Vallario, Founder of Falena

Falena means “moth” in Italian—and the moment you step into this boutique in Irvington, the name makes perfect sense. Like a moth to a flame, you’re instantly drawn in by the sparkle and vibrant designs.

Nicole Vallario has created more than a store—it’s an experience. Lush velvet seating, bold wallpaper, and rich jewel tones create a dreamy escape. After working in the fine jewelry industry for 16 years, Nicole opened Falena in 2023 to showcase timeless pieces, independent designers, and one-of-a-kind finds. She also brings her expertise to brands through consulting in sales, marketing, merchandising, and PR. Her boutique is a reflection of her unique eye and creative spirit. Every detail is impeccably thought out.

Sierra Yaun, Creative Director and Founder of Floral Society + Poppies & Posies

Flowers say so much—without ever speaking. They shift the mood of a space, uplift the spirit, and express emotion in ways words can’t. Through The Floral Society and her studio, Poppies & Posies, Sierra Yaun captures that magic and brings it into daily life.

The collection isn’t just beautiful—it’s intentional. Sculptural vases, hand-poured candles, and thoughtfully designed tools are made to be used and loved. Each piece is an invitation to slow down, create, and celebrate the beauty of nature. Whether you’re hosting a gathering or enjoying a quiet morning at home, the collection enhances the moment.

Beloved by professional florists and weekend arrangers alike, The Floral Society has built a reputation for quality and intentional design. And in 2025, Sierra brought the vision to life with a brick-and-mortar space in Beacon, New York—part boutique, part creative sanctuary, and entirely a flower lover’s dream.
