This week we’ll be spreading holiday cheer to let our local senior citizens know we’re thinking of them during these particularly lonely and dangerous times. With your donations, we will put together 60 small seasonal arrangements and gift boxes that will accompany the meals to be delivered this week through the Dobbs Ferry Senior Citizen Program.
The gift box includes cookies baked by First Village Coffee, a tea assortment, chapstick, and some hand lotion. And the small arrangements are arranged by the ever-talented Samantha Barr. All items will be hand delivered by volunteers through the DF Senior Program.
Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Dobbs Ferry Senior Citizen Program has been delivering fresh meals to senior citizens in the Village. They have also started a new Senior Angel Community Volunteer Program, which aims to assist seniors who are most at risk from COVID-19 by matching them up with wonderful volunteers in our area to get groceries, medications, and other necessary supplies in a safe manner.
