2/27/22 UPDATE: Thanks to all who donated and bid on all of these wonderful items all week—we’ve successfully raised $4,075 for the North Star Fund’s Hudson Valley Momentum program! Even if you didn’t win an item, please don’t hesitate to donate using the link above to help support grassroots organizing that’s demanding big changes from our state, local and federal government.
—
In honor of Black History Month, we’re harnessing the power of our community to help raise money for the North Star Fund, a social justice fund that supports grassroots organizing led by communities of color in New York City and the Hudson Valley. Back in our early days of HudCo, we hosted an IRL fundraiser and met the lovely individuals who run this great organization, so we’re excited to host this online auction to channel money their way.
Our auction last February to support the Urban League of Westchester raised $6,880, so we have high hopes for the bids this year on these fantastic items. We have items from many of our members, plus donations from all around Westchester and NYC, all ready for your generous bids!
Auction items will be posted on our Instagram feed beginning Friday, 2/18, with multiple items posted each day until Friday, 2/25.
How do you bid?
Write your maximum offer in a new comment (do not reply to another bid or comment, it may get missed!). You MUST submit your bid via a comment on the item post only. We will not accept requests via DM or email.
How do you win?
Minimum bid increment will be listed in each post. Bidding closes Friday, February 25, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
The winning bid total is inclusive of shipping to the US only (local pickups at HudCo are encouraged!). At the close of the auction, we will DM all highest bidders with instructions on next steps. The winner will have 48 hours to show proof of donation. Failure of full donation results in the watch going to the next highest bidder. Winner will coordinate delivery directly with auction item owner.
Make sure to follow our Instagram feed starting Friday and shop like you mean it—all in support of social justice and grassroots organizing by communities of color.
